Preparing for your appointment
In order to ensure a convenient and stress-free experience, here are some steps to take prior to your notary appointment:
- It is important that the document is fully completed prior to notarization. This ensures the service will be completed in a timely fashion. However it is important that the document remains unsigned until in the presence of the notary. Pre-signed documents will not be accepted for notarization.
- Additionally, in regards to documents requiring multiple signers, it is important that all required signers are present in order for the notarization to be performed.
- All signers must have a valid ID that matches the name on the documents. Visit the National Notary Association for help determining if an ID is valid.
